Tesda Holds Tarlac TVIs Forum
SAN MIGUEL, Tarlac – TESDA-Tarlac Provincial Director John B. Adawey led the holding of the Tarlac Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) Forum on March 11, 2020 held at the Max’s Restaurant, Luisita, San Miguel, Tarlac City.
The conduct of the said forum is aimed at orienting the target participants- presidents, school administrators and key officers of public and private TVIs in the Province for TESDA’s 2020 program thrusts and priority projects.
Director Adawey in his message, encouraged the school owners to upgrade their program offerings to higher levels and focus on the construction and agriculture related qualifications as these fall under the priority sectors of the Agency with funding allocation from the Rice Extension Services Program (RESP) under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF).
Ms. Neila S. Alibuyog, TESD Specialist II, presented the TESDA – Tarlac 2019 Accomplishment Reports and discussed to the participants the possible measures and strategies in attaining the 2020 program targets.
Ms. Juliette T. Feliciano, Supervising TESD Specialist of Regional Operation Division-Region 3, as the invited resource speaker discussed the Guidelines for 2020 TESDA Scholarship Programs, 2020 Compliance Audit for UTPRAS Registered Programs and Accredited Assessment Center and Amendment and Clarificatory Guidelines on the Moratorium in the registration of Mobile Training Programs (MTPs). Mr. Nicolas O. Sacramento, Supervising TESD Specialist of TESDA Tarlac presented the various list of competency standards developed in December 2019 and January 2020 and those qualifications due for migration to the Amended and Newly Promulgated Training Regulations (TRs) and Developed Competency Assessment Tools (CATS).
