TESDA to Train Barangay Tanods in Emergency Medical Services
CAMP MAKABULOS, Tarlac City – In a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed by TESDA Tarlac Provincial Director Ben-Hur B. Baniqued and Tarlac PNP Superintendent Emmanuel G. Nunag representing Senior Superintendent Ritchie Medardo A. Posadas on June 30, 2017 at the Camp Makabulos, Tarlac City, TESDA Tarlac will facilitate the provision of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Training to barangay tanods who will then act as first responders in their respective communities.
The Tarlac PNP on the other hand will handle monitoring and training support for the selected participants.
The month long intensive training will be incorporated as a part of PNP Patrol Plan 2030 best practice activities of the PPSMU.
Before the MOA signing, TESDA Tarlac Director Baniqued fielded questions from the PNP personnel regarding the prospect of employment locally and abroad for certified EMS practitioners.
He also encouraged the officers to train and get certified by TESDA as part of their professional development.
Also present as signatories were Superintendent Antonio, Superintendent Apolonio, Chief Inspector Lazo, and Inspector Ugale.
