TESDA Launches the “TSUPER ISKOLAR”
SAN FERNANDO, PAMPANGA – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the Department of Transportation Launched a scholarship program at SM City Telabastagan TESDA Regional Director NENUCA “MITZI” E. TANGONAN and the Provincial Directors of all provinces of the Region III collaborated with the DOTR to made the “TSUPER ISKOLAR” a Scholarship program in line with the PUV modernization program possible.
The Scholarship program Aims to give Operators, Drivers and their Dependents Free Training, Allowance and Certificate in Automotive and Land Transportation Qualifications such as Driving National Certificate Level II and free Entrepreneurship Seminar.
During The Launch, Ceremonial Certificates of Scholarship allocation were distributed the representative of transport groups, Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board Chief of inspection Je-Jesus D. Sison reiterated the need for jeepney modernization to ensure safety, efficiency and environmental compliance to Euro 4 emission and standards.
Region 4A Director Florencio F. Sunico representing The Director General who is on Special Assignment in Mindanao read the message. According to the message. “TESDA and DOTR will continue to provide trainings and assistance to our stakeholders from transportation section under the PUVMP in the country.” “I appeal to our drivers to avail of this scholarship grant as this will help you and your families gain alternative livelihood or employment opportunities here in the Philippines and abroad” Lapeña Added
TESDA Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña, represented by the agency’s spokesperson and Regional Director of TESDA IV-A, Florencio F. Sunico, Jr. together with Mr. Je-Jesus D. Sison awarded the Certificates of Slots Allocation during the Thursday’s launch which was witnessed by the key Officials of the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
The Tsuper Iskolar Program is now being implemented in Regions I, II, III, IV-A, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, CAR, NCR and Caraga. The most recent launching was in CALABARZON on October 4 with more than 500 attendees.
