Tesda Tarlac Launches Barangay Kabuhayan Skills Training Program
PURA, Tarlac – TESDA III Regional Director Dante J. Navarro with Pura Town Mayor Concepcion A. Zarate presided over the launching of the Barangay Kabuhayan Training Program at the Pura Evacuation Center on June 5, 2018.
The program aims to provide free technical vocational education and training (TVET) with entrepreneurship component and Php100 a day allowance to residents of 4th to 6th class Municipalities in the Province of Tarlac.
Qualified Local Government Units (LGU) will identify the qualifications most suited to their constituents and the participants to the training.
In her welcome address, Mayor Zarate thanked TESDA for choosing Pura to launch the program in Tarlac.
Mayor Connie also identified single parents, tricycle drivers, persons with disabilities (PWD), out of school youths, senior citizens, and tokhang surrenderees as prospective clients for the program.
Regional Director (RD) Navarro expressed admiration on the good mayor’s effort to repay her constituents votes through access to livelihood and skills training.
TESDA Tarlac Provincial Director (PD) Elizabeth D. Manio also thanked the Pura Town Mayor for her hospitality and assured her of TESDA’s support on her livelihood projects.
