Capas Town Mayor Reaffirms Land Donation for TVET Court

CAPAS, Tarlac – TESDA Tarlac Provincial Director (PD) Elizabeth DM. Manio met with Capas town Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan on March 5, 2019 at the Mayor’s office to finalize the donation of land for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Court.
Last year, former TESDA Director General (DG) Guiling “Gene” A. Mamondiong with Capas Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan led the groundbreaking ceremony for the donation of a five-hectare lot by the Capas Local Government Unit at Cristo Rey, Capas, Tarlac on June 5, 2018.
The lot will be the future site of a (TVET) Court for use by Mobile Training Program (MTP) providers to train among others, members of the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Communities in Capas and surrounding municipalities.
During the March 5 meeting, Mayor Reycat pledged his commitment to have the allocated lot titled in TESDA’s name, “Hindi na donation, kung hindi, ipapatitulohan ko yan sa pangalan na ng TESDA,” the good mayor avers.
The TESDA Tarlac PD on the other hand, assured the Mayor that TESDA is in the process of fast tracking the construction of the agreed TVET court.
