ABC Meeting with the Vice Mayor, Kagawads and SK Chairmans of Municipality of Anao, Tarlac
On February 17, 2022, TESDA Tarlac Provincial Office headed by Engr. John B. Adawey together with Center Administrator Leonardo R. Tabamo and other TESDA Tarlac Staff attended a meeting with the ABCs, Vice Mayor, Kagawads and SK Chaimans of Municipality of Anao, Tarlac.
The Association of Barangay Captains (ABCs) is a formal organization of all the Barangay Captains in the Philippines for the purpose of ventilating and crystallizing issues affecting barangay government administrations and serving through proper and legal means, and solutions thereto.
This attendance is also in compliance with the directive reiterated in Memorandum No. 545 s. 2019, which can also serve as a venue to propagate and promote the agency’s programs through the provision and expansion of skills training programs in barangays.
PD John B. Adawey also had a discussion regarding the Devolution of TESDA’s Training Function to Local Governments.
Among the matters discussed were the implementation of Community-Based Training (CBT) Program, various courses/ program offerings of the Provincial Training Center- Tarlac, and the provision of technical assistance on the establishment of the LGU run training center. Vice Mayor Gian Pierre De Dios of the Municipality of Anao also committed to donating a lot for the proposed LGU run training center.
