TESDA Tarlac Chairs World Café of Opportunity at Robinson Pampanga
MEXICO, Pampanga – TESDA Tarlac Provincial Director Elizabeth D. Manio chaired the Region III celebration of National Tech-Voc Day dubbed as “World Café of Opportunities Program” held at Robinson Starmills, Pampanga on 25 August 2018.
The event was designed for the TVET Alumni/Graduates to find opportunities for work or business thru Job Fair for the Construction, Tourism and Manufacturing Sectors.
During the opening ceremony, the TESDA III Regional Director Dante J. Navarro thanked the participants for their generous participation and proudly announced that TESDA Region III garnered high honors in the recently concluded TESDA Institutional Awards Rite – i.e., National Kabalikat Award – LGU Category, Tagsanay Award; Best in Training Induction Program, Best in Interview, and Finalist in TVET Institution, and Batang TESDA Award to the youngest national awardee.
RD Dante also exhorted the alumni to take advantage of scholarship opportunities while they can.
Pampanga Provincial Board Member Tonton Torres representing Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, thanked TESDA for the generous allocation of scholarship slots to the province of Pampanga and repeated the call of RD Navarro not to waste the opportunities to acquire skills while its free.
KP Gabertan in his inspirational speech recounted his travails as a poor kid from the province to being the Region III TVET ambassador and owner of a Barista training center in Tarlac City which was greatly facilitated by the TVET programs he acquired earlier.
While interviews of prospective employees were being conducted, participating employment locators presented their company profile and employment prospect in the coming years.
Before the program ended, RD Dante announced the search for successful TVET graduates, leaving orders to the provincial offices to document and publicize their story.
