TESDA Tarlac wins gold at 2016 PNSC
TAGUIG, Metro Manila – Arbethnel B. Ilagan won gold in the recently concluded 2016 Philippine National Skills Competition held at TESDA Central Office, Taguig City, Taguig, Metro Manila on June 20 – 23, 2016.
Arbethnel was born to a career homemaker and a taho vendor of Maliwalo, Tarlac. He is the eldest of four siblings. Early on, Arbet, as he is fondly called by his friends, showed resourcefulness and diligence by doing odd jobs for small sums of money or food.
This traits endeared him to his more affluent neighbors who, when he reached the age of majority started employing him to do jobs with some technical aspects.
Encourage by his enthusiasm, one of his employers helped him earn a certificate in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning PACU/CRE Servicing from the Provincial Training Center – Tarlac.
His natural intelligence and his dedication to excellence made him a highly desirable representative to the 2015 Tarlac Provincial Skills Competition which he handily won.
That win gained him a slot to the 2015 Regional Skills competition which again he won convincingly.
All this led to him being chosen to represent Region III to the 2016 Philippine National Skills Competition.
As of this writing, Arbethnel B. Ilagan, representing Region III at the Philippine National Skills Competition, won gold for RAC PACU/CRE Servicing and will represent the country at the ASEAN Skills Competition in Malaysia sometime in September 2016.
