TESDA Tarlac Welcomes Its New Director
SAN MIGUEL, Tarlac City – Outgoing TESDA Tarlac Provincial Director Ben Hur B. Baniqued handed over the TESDA Tarlac flag to Incoming TESDA Tarlac Provincial Director Elizabeth Dm. Manio at a solemn turn over ceremony at Max’s Luisita, San Miguel, Tarlac on September 4, 2017.
After the program preliminaries, a video presentation of the highlights of the outgoing PD’s administration was shown to the great merriment of the audience.
Before delivering his farewell message, PD Ben thanked the officers and staff of TESDA Tarlac Provincial Office, the Administrator and staff of Provincial Training Canter Tarlac, the Administrator and staff of Concepcion Vocational School, the officers and members of TATVI and PAHETI, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) represented by Dr. Alvin Belamino, Ms. Carol Uy representing the Provincial Technical Education and Skills Development Committee (PTESDC), and the Tarlac Provincial Government (PGT) represented by their Training and Placement Network Program (TPNP) Head Ms. Mara Reyes and staff.
PD Ben in his message, proudly regaled the audience with the accomplishments of his administration; TESDA Tarlac as the National Kabalikat awardee twice; the Provincial Training Center – Tarlac attaining CENTEX status for RAC NC II; the partnerships forged in furtherance of the mandate to enhance work exposure for the trainees; the expansion affected by the donation of a parcel of land at the back of the current office; the refurbishment of the Provincial Office; the software licensing of all PC and laptops used in TESDA Tarlac; the provision of funds to maintain the projected, “bamboosarium” at the Tarlac Agricultural State University; but the one he is most proud of, is his commitment to a clean and transparent public service.
PD Liza in her message called her management style, “situational” and assured everyone present that she will be very responsive to their needs for public service from TESDA Tarlac.
The incoming PD also shared her elation at being granted her wish to serve her birth province; her being born and bred at Concepcion, Tarlac.
The Lady Director also made it clear that she expects of everyone respect and decorum at all times and that her refusal to engage in low brow confrontations should never be mistaken for weakness.
The PCCI President thanked the outgoing PD for his contributions in making the Tarlac labor market more responsive to the needs of the industries in and around the province.
He also congratulated and welcomed the incoming PD with a promise of greater collaboration and active participation in the Authority’s activities in Tarlac.
PTC Tarlac Administrator Leonardo R. Tabamo, in his closing message thanked everyone present, welcomed PD Liza and reminisced on the struggles he and PD Ben went through to get TESDA Tarlac where it is now.
After the heartfelt expressions of gratitude and fond farewells a photo session ended the event.
