2016 Teambuilding Blue Marlin Canaoay, SF, La Union
SAN FERNANDO, La Union – On June 16 – 18, 2016, TESDA Tarlac Provincial Office and the Provincial Training Center – Tarlac employees went on what proved to be the most thrilling teambuilding activity the employees of the two TESDA offices have ever embarked on.
The activity started with a high spirited trip full of bantering within and between vans, thanks to unlicalls and unlitexts.
The trip was even made more pleasurable when the group joined TESDA La Union Provincial Director Marissa Alcantara and her staff for lunch at their office within the TESDA Regional Office II in San Fernando City.
PD Marissa then graciously guided the group to Blue Marlin Resort in Canaoay, San Fernando, La Union.
The group greatly enjoyed their stay at the seaside resort and amazingly bonded together over early morning and late night videoke sessions; impromptu volleyball games; and bizarrely, prolonged soaking in the pool instead of the sea.
What really brought the team closer was the trip to the Tangadan Falls in San Gabriel, La Union.
The steep climbs and descents; and the hairpin turns along craggy cliffs made everyone cling to each other in sheer terror mixed with exhilaration.
Then the short but steep trek brought us down to the river strewn with truck sized boulders whose source flowed from a colossal rock overhang.
After luxuriating in the refreshing river water and a raft ride under the thundering waterfall, the group began the on foot ascent that can be compared to a Lenten self-flagellation ritual.
After courting danger among the mountains of La Union, the group embarked on a cultural tour of the much talked “Bahay na Bato” by the pebble beach of Luna, La Union.
Nothing like the beauty of nature to make people appreciate the beauty of the beauty of the Philippines.
